CO2 laser resurfacing uses a carbon dioxide laser to remove damaged outer layers of skin while heating the deeper layers beneath — triggering your body to rebuild smoother, tighter, more even-toned skin as it heals. Different than a traditional, fully ablative CO2 laser that requires weeks of downtime, our CO2 laser is highly customizable allowing our providers to increase or decrease the level of ablation based on the concerns being treated. This also minimizes your downtime while still producing remarkable results.
Because this treatment works at a deeper level than microneedling or light-based facials, it’s performed at Tone under the oversight of a board-certified facial plastic surgeon. Our team collaborates to determine the safest, most effective treatment depth and density for your specific skin type and goals.

We evaluate your skin type and concerns to determine the right treatment depth and settings for your goals, downtime tolerance and review our pre & post skincare regimine that is included with your procedure.

Your safety and comfortability are our main priority on treatment day. We have multiple pain mitigation protocols in place including topical numbing, lidocaine injections & pain medication. You also have the option to add Nitronox for $150. The laser is then passed over your treatment area — the full appointment typically take 60-90 minutes.

You’ll go home with a full recovery skincare kit and clear instructions, with a follow-up check-in as your skin heals over the following week or so. Results begin to show around 6 – 12 weeks with full results visible around the 6 month mark. We typically scheduled a follow-up appointment at the 4 – 6 week mark to check healing and start celebrating your results!

Expect redness, swelling, and peeling for about 5 to 7 days, with residual pinkness that can be covered with makeup for a couple of weeks after. We send every patient home with a full recovery skincare kit and directions.
Results can last 1 to 3 years or more with proper sun protection and skincare, since the treatment stimulates lasting collagen remodeling rather than a temporary surface effect. Results can also be maintained with LaseMD Ultra laser treatments.
